How to Activate Your Travel eSIM Quick & Easy Setup Guide

Setting up your Travel eSIM takes just a few steps. Follow the instructions below based on your device:

For iPhone Users:

  1. Press and hold the QR code, then tap Add eSIM. You can also open the Camera app and scan the QR code.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the new Data Plan. You can proceed with the default settings.
  3. After installation, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options, and ensure Data Roaming is turned ON.

For Android Users:

  1. On your Android phone, open the Camera app.
  2. Scan the QR code and tap the pop-up notification labeled Data Plan.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. Accept the default settings unless you prefer custom options.
  4. After setup, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, and make sure Data Roaming is enabled.

Recommendations

  • Turn off Data Roaming on your Primary line (home SIM card) to prevent data roaming charges.
  • If you install the eSIM before you arrive in your destination, be sure to set the eSIM to your primary Cellular / Mobile Data plan when you arrive.
  • IMPORTANT: Turn on Low Data Mode (iPhone) or Data Saver mode (Android) to prevent background data while using your eSIM.
